Jeffrey Wagner

Jeffrey Wagner is a co-founder and serves as the Chief Scientific Officer who has led the scientific strategy of Microbial Machines since its launch in 2019. Previously, Jeff made significant discoveries on the engineering and use of Plasmodium falciparum and Mycobacterium tuberculosis for applications to vaccine development. Jeff has an exceptional scientific track record with high impact publications in such journals as Nature Methods and The Journal of Bacteriology and was a recipient of the NIGMS Biotechnology Training Grant fellowship during graduate school.
Jeff received a AB in Genetics Modified with Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College. He completed his PhD in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and post-doctoral training in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Disease at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
